Make sure you turn it on at least a half hour before you listen to those 45's or the mood lighting will be just one big glob in the bottom of the lamp...

I guess I should explain the term "45's"....and "33 and a third" while I'm at it. Before the days of CD's and DVD's there were Records. A pancake sized piece of vinyl with a narrow groove in it that spiraled into the middle from the outer part of the record. They looked like this...

To play these you neede a Record Player

You stacked the records you want to play on a spindle in the middle of the record player and it would automatically play records one after the other. Unless of course you wanted to play 45 RPM records and you lost your 45 RPM spindle. ( The 45 RPM records had a bigger hole in the middle than the 33 and a thirds did) If this was the case then you had to put adapters in your records so they would fit the 33 and a third spindle on you record player....

They look like this...

That's really all there was to it.....

Unless the thing started to skip and jump all over....Then you needed one last piece of equipment..
